The Schroon Lake Region is the gateway to many of the historical and educational landmarks found in the Adirondacks. Take a trip to the Adirondack Museum to see canoes, carriages, rustic furnishings, antique motorboats, Winslow Homer paintings, and much more.
Right in the village of Schroon Lake, you can also take a historic boat tour, or take a step back in time to the era of Great Camps at the Schroon-North Hudson Historical Society – open in the summer months. Here you'll find military records, old photographs, maps and other archive materials that show how the region has evolved through time.
