Mark your calendars! This September in Newcomb, TR (Teddy Roosevelt) Weekend will be celebrating the 125th anniversary of TR "Rough Riders". TR Weekend is Newcomb's premier event, celebrating Theodore Roosevelt's journey out of the High Peaks wilderness from Newcomb to the White House following President McKinley's assassination in Buffalo, NY. Events are planned over the entire weekend.

Dinner and Family Fued 5:00 pm @ Newcomb Central School

Pre-K-4th Grade. Bring your own fishing poles. Bait will be available at the pond—prizes for finest catch.
TR Weekend Craft Fair 10 am - 3 pm @ The Overlook
A craft and arts fair featuring local and regional artists selling handmade gifts and products. Quilted products, paintings, cards, photographs, balsam gifts, Adirondack decorative gifts, jewelry, beautiful knitted goods, and anything an Adirondack artisan can create.
Car Wash, lunch, and bake sale 10 am- 2 pm @ Newcomb Health Center

Woodsman Scrimmage 10 am-11:30 am @ the Overlook
ESF & Paul Smith’s Woodsmen Scrimmage and with an added event: the 40’ pole climb demonstration. Watch these students compete and demonstrate their woodsmen skills.
