This imposing lake is tucked away among hardwood hills in the heart of the wilderness. There is a surface ramp at Paradox Lake Public Campground on Route 74, 2 miles east of the hamlet of Severence. The campground is on the shore of Dark Bay. There is parking for 25 cars and trailers with rentals available. Motorboats are welcome here.
