Cross Country Skiing

Grab a pair of skis, and use Schroon Lake as your Adirondack cross-country base camp. Explore the multitude of trails the region has to offer. The wilderness areas surrounding Schroon Lake provide the perfect playground for a cross-country skier. Take your time – there are plenty of trails to try!

To the west, you'll find the Hoffman Notch Wilderness area's trails, and to the east, the Pharaoh Lake Wilderness – a local favorite. Ski in the shadow of Pharaoh Mountain, and you'll find the wilderness abundant with trails, wildlife, and spectacular views.
