Trailhead: Parking lot of Putnam Pond Campground (parking fee.) Take route 74 west from Ticonderoga and go 4.3 miles. Turn left on to Putts Pond Road and go 0.7 miles to campground parking lot.
7.8 miles RT, Moderate Climb, Elevation: 2244'
An interesting open summit with views of the High Peaks to the north. Follow trail around the SW end of Putnam Pond and take marked trail to summit over many rock scrambles. Or paddle across Putnam Pond to cut 1.2 miles off total.
