Schroon Lake

Schroon Lake is a 4-season paradise. The area has been providing wonderful summer vacation experiences for many generations.

Swimming, boating and fishing on Schroon Lake, Paradox Lake, and the Schroon River are just some of the activities that keep people coming back year after year. Schroon Lake boasts one of the most beautiful public swimming beaches in the Adirondacks, and an adjacent public launch provides access to the lake by boat.

Take the family for a hike up Mt. Severance or Pharaoh Mt. for a picnic and panoramic view, play a round of golf or take a scenic boat tour on the lake. Attend a waterfront concert, square dance, and theatre in the summer.

Schroon Lake hosts the Adirondack Marathon in late September, a qualifier for the Boston and New York Marathons!

In winter, the area is a playground for snowmobiles , ice fishermen and cross-county skiers. A variety of accommodations are available year-round, whether you desire a bed and breakfast, motel, cabin or campground.
